Killer Chiller

It has been so hot here in the dirrty Jerz that I could do nothing but make a super refreshing cocktail this weekend!  We desperately needed a cool down, and this watermelon concoction was just the thing!  It was light, pure, fresh, and was a wonderfully sweet way to get a little chilly in this absurd humidity.  I made it for our "Minute to Win It" party, in which we played some games from said show....more on that to come.  It was super fun!  And you can see below that my neighbor, Shaun, was gettin' excited to have a few drinks and a bit of crazy fun!


Killer Chiller

1 small seedless watermelon
10 oz of vodka
1 can of lemon lime soda
2 freshly squeezed limes
thinly sliced green apple for garnish

-Cut the top off of the watermelon and scoop our all the flesh.  Puree scooped out melon and strain into a pitcher.  Add the remaining ingredients, stir and serve chilled with a little apple garnish!
