Adventure Aquarium!

We are always on the lookout for fun things to do with our crazy kiddos. Keeping all of that energy bottled up inside a house all the time is just asking for trouble, and broken furniture… So we hit the road to check out the Adventure Aquarium in Camden, NJ. We were lucky enough to get free passes for the 6 of us, but they are running a great deal right now: $15 Fun Days at Adventure Aquarium.  Purchase tickets online now thru Nov 23 and pay just $15 per ticket, courtesy of their media partner, NBC 10. Check out their website for more info.

We stopped for a quick photo-op before we went inside. What a great view of the city!

They have a new addition to their expansive animal family. Mighty Mike is a 14-foot long, 800-pound American alligator. He is considered the largest alligator in the country on display outside of the state of Florida! To Use
I like seeing Mike’s head compared to the kids’ heads. He’s HUGE!

We stopped off to look at fish, sharks, Nemo, Dori, rays, jellies, and everything in between. To Use-1
Lots of smiling faces!

They have two touch tanks, which is great for busy little hands…

We pet the rays and the sharks. I love Hunter’s face in the top-middle picture at the shark pond. OH! Shark! He had fun helping us touch the sharks. I think Will would’ve jumped in & swam with them if we let him. That crazy kid is fearless!

We waddled outside to see the seals & penguins. It was a nice break for the kids to run back and forth to each exhibit. They loved talking to the penguins, but I think the penguins were too busy waiting for their lunch.

The penguins were so cute. Waddle waddle waddle

Speaking of lunch…we needed our own lunch break.

They have tons of tables & chairs, which is nice when you have a big group and hungry kids! The Mighty Mike sports cups were a hit! The boys thought they were SO cool! It was definitely nice to have on our plane ride home a few days later.

After lunch we hit the big stuff… HIPPOS! They must’ve just woken up from their nap because they were movin' & shakin’.

They’re SO GIANT! as the boys were saying.

Saving the best for last, we hit the shark tube.

That was definitely something new for our little dudes. Sharks swimming all around us! Ah! There were a few screeches & screams of both a little scared & excitement. It’s a fine line, sometimes. There were a ton of sharks in there! Hammerheads and all!

Of course, we had to make a stop at the gift shop on our way out. It is full of fun stuff! Everyone seemed to find something they liked, including Lani & her alligator hat. Will found a little stuff alligator. I think Mighty Mike was a big hit for us! I loved the stuff penguins. Jagger found a clownfish & was high-tailing it out of there with it! To Use-5

Thanks Adventure Aquarium! We had a blast & can’t wait to go again! We definitely suggest you take advantage of the $15 tickets & take the family for the day. It’s a great rainy/snowy day getaway, too. There’s lots of animals to see & space to run!
