Heather's Cali Casa

**This Page Is A Work In Progress...**

We bought our little condo when we were newlyweds, June 2007. We were young & dumb. That's the long & short of it. We definitely learned a lot of lessons from our 1st home purchase, such as, WAIT! We were anxious to get out of our apartment so we dove into the 1st thing we liked. And then the economy happened... We kick ourselves regularly for not waiting another year before we bought a home, but live & learn... So what was supposed to be a 2-3 year home has quickly turned into 4.5 years.

It is a great starter home, regardless. 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a cozy 1050 square feet suited us just fine as newlyweds. Then Will came along a year later. It still works, we've just learned how to be more efficient with the limited space we have.

It was a bank owned property, and since it had been on the market for a bit, they did some sprucing up. Thankfully, they did it neutrally. New carpet, new tile floors in the entry & kitchen, freshly painted kitchen & bathroom cabinets, and fresh paint throughout. The day escrow closed, we had the ceilings scraped & painted. It instantly felt so fresh & clean. Next, we painted the main rooms.
